Hyundai Motor Company revealed teaser images of its three-row Ioniq 9 SUV this week, but unfortunately they offer little more than a dim-lit silhouette of the Korean marque’s electric answer to the large vehicle segment.
Building on the momentum generated by Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6, Hyunda says the Ioniq 9 is set to “redefine the EV experience”, offering a spacious large SUV built on its Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP).
Hyundai says the Ioniq 9’s ‘Aerosthetic’ design theme offers a unique blend of aerodynamic performance and aesthetic appeal. This model draws inspiration from the sleek exteriors and spacious, cozy interiors of boats.
While the images don’t give much away, the Ioniq 9’s single-curved roofline and sleek front-end give the model a luxurious and, at first glance, premium look. The teaser sketches reveal intricate details like the parametric pixels in the front headlights, and a multi-spoke wheel design that gets our tick of approval.
Starting from October 30, Hyundai will be releasing more teaser content through its social channels, leading up to Ioniq 9’s World Premiere in November. We will share more information about the incoming model in the coming weeks.
