Origin has launched a range of new EV customer solutions which includes salary packaging. The aim is to get more EVs on Australian roads by reducing the upfront cost of getting into an electric vehicle and providing savings on charging at home.
“Origin is committed to helping get more EVs on the road, and to do this we need to make it easier and more affordable for people to get into their first EV, and then support them at all points of their EV journey,” said Chau Le, General Manager E-Mobility, Origin.
“We know that cost is a major barrier preventing many people from making the switch to EVs, which is why we are providing affordable and flexible alternatives to car ownership, and making it cheaper for customers to charge their vehicles.”
Origin’s new flexible all-inclusive salary packaged electric car subscription plan helps customers switch to an EV without needing to commit to purchasing a vehicle or signing up to long-term leases.
With month-to-month contract options available, Origin is making it easy for customers to change vehicles when they need, while enjoying tax savings through salary packaging that take advantage of the recently introduced Fringe Benefit Tax exemption for EVs.
Customers will be able to select from a range of EVs including the Volvo XC40, Tesla Model Y and Model 3 and Polestar 2. Interested customers can register their interest on the website, and Origin will contact their employer directly about entering into an arrangement for them to offer this salary packaged EV subscription plan to their employees.
