Ford is planning to add four new electric vehicles to their local model range and the Mustang Mach-E is one of the most exciting vehicles for Fleet Managers and novated buyers. Pricing is yet to be released so you can register their interest via the Ford website and receive updates as the release date gets closer.
If you’re a deadset Blue Oval fan and want to be one of the first to own a Mustang Mach-E as a novated lease, you need to place your order via the website once the queue opens up. This is because Ford is introducing a new ordering process for the Mach-E which will ensure customers get their vehicle based on their place in the queue.
We spoke to Christine Wagner, General Manager Fleet and Uplifting at Ford, during the media launch of the new Ford E-Transit about the increasing fleet appetite for electric vehicles and the potential opportunity for the Mach-E as a novated lease top seller if the pricing is under the limit for the FBT Exemption.
“So the big change for Mach-E is going to be the that it’ll be a very much a customer driven approach to where the vehicles end up,” explains Wagner.
“So typically, with a very large number of vehicles, you divvy them up fairly amongst your dealers, because they represent where the sales normally occur. And then it is for the dealers to go and sell them to the various customers in advance. And of course, we had waiting queues that were pretty big for Ranger and Everest, and they differed by dealer point.”
“In this particular instance, we are defining a strategy where you do it only through our website, and it’s literally going to be on a first come, first in basis. And it won’t matter what type of buyer it is. It could indeed be a fleet of buyer under the circumstances, who chooses that. That will define where the car goes and which dealer will handle the sale.”
“The beauty of something this specialised is that it allows the customer to have complete control. They get to make exactly what model they want, in whatever colour they want, with whatever options they want, and it gets sent to the dealer of their choice.”
Andrew Birkic, President and CEO of Ford Australia and New Zealand, also advised that the Mach-E will be available in three models and supply will be strong.
So the message for novated lease buyers, and Fleet Managers, looking to secure an early allocation of the Ford Mustang Mach-E, place your orders early to secure a spot in the queue.
