Chery has announced the upcoming Australian release of its Tiggo 4 Pro Hybrid, expanding its electrified lineup and offering a more fuel-efficient option in the compact SUV segment.
The hybrid SUV combines a 1.5-litre petrol engine with an electric motor, delivering a total output of 140kW and 285Nm. The system uses a Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) to switch seamlessly between electric, hybrid, and engine-only modes.
Fuel consumption is expected to be around 5.4L/100km, making it an attractive option for both private buyers and fleets seeking to lower running costs and emissions.
While final Australian specifications and pricing are yet to be confirmed, overseas versions of the Tiggo 4 Pro Hybrid feature:
- A 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system
- Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
- 6 airbags and active safety features like AEB and lane departure warning
- A spacious 5-seat cabin with 340L boot capacity
The Tiggo 4 Pro Hybrid is expected to launch before the end of 2025, giving Chery another entry point into the increasingly competitive hybrid SUV market. This new model will sit below the larger Tiggo 7 and Tiggo 8 models, appealing to buyers looking for compact efficiency without sacrificing comfort or tech.
