BYD doubles down on its technological credentials, confirming a 6-year / 150,000km bumper-to-bumper warranty, plus 8-year / 160,000 km battery warranty. The enhanced coverage applies to all models, backdating to those delivered since launch in August 2022.
Recently marking their 30-year anniversary, BYD affirms its global battery leadership with the announcement of an enhanced warranty policy that covers the vehicle bumper to bumper. This latest announcement comes as the brand recently marked over 40,000 sales in Australia and aims to give BYD owners added confidence. The update backdates to BYDs entry in Australia and will cover all vehicles since first deliveries of August 2022.
This warranty includes The Power Battery pack and Drive Unit which are covered for a period of 8 years or 160,000 km, whichever occurs first, while all other components are subject to a 6-year / 150,000km warranty.
In a further confidence boost, The BYD SEALION 7, the all-new electric SUV, launched in February, has become the latest in BYD’s expanding local lineup to achieve a five-star ANCAP. This cements BYD’s position as a consistent five-star performer across its entire Australian lineup, following the recently assessed BYD SHARK 6.
