Jeep has adjusted the price of its incoming all-electric Avenger model, which will now start from $49,990 MSRP when it arrives in Australian dealerships from September.
As reported by Fleet EV News earlier this year, the Jeep Avenger was originally priced from $53,990, but the price drop makes it all the more appealing for fleets and novated lease buyers looking for a circa-$50k SUV option.
The Avenger lineup consists of three model grades; the Longitude, Limited and Summit. All models feature a 115kW/260Nm electric powertrain supplied by a 54kWh battery. According to Jeep, they’re also light with the Longitude and Limited models weighing in at just 1520kg, for a claimed energy consumption of 15.6kWh per 100km/h and a range of up to 396km.
An on-board charger delivers 100 kW in direct current, corresponding to 20 to 80% charge in 24 minutes in fast-charging mode. Jeep even claims that fast charging will allow a handy 30km range to be achieved in just three minutes.
All Avenger models feature a full suite of ADAS technology and in-car infotainment with the usual smartphone connectivity, with subtle differences between trim grades.
The Avenger is the first front-wheel drive Jeep vehicle equipped standard with its Selec-Terrain and Hill Descent Control technology, while also offering 200mm ground clearance, 20 degrees of approach angle, and 32 degrees of departure angle, for mild off-road use.
The new Avenger range will arrive in dealerships around the country from September this year.
