MG has announced an industry leading 10-year / 250,000km warranty but it doesn’t apply to fleet buyers. While at the same time dropping the price on a range of electric vehicles which will have an impact on residual values for fleets that are trying to ramp up their EV transition plans.
MG Motor’s Chief Commercial Officer, Giles Belcher, said brand confidence was a top concern for new-car buyers, and highlighted that a longer warranty period can assist with this.
“If you’re looking for value and peace of mind from a new car purchase, the length and quality of the factory warranty should be as important as the horsepower. We think that our new 10 year warranty for EV, PHEV, Hybrid and petrol range is the best and strongest in market.”

In addition to this monumental announcement, the cost of getting behind the wheel of an electric vehicle (EV) is set to go down for hundreds of thousands of people after MG Motor Australia made a decision to make EV more affordable than ever before.
