Polestar has confirmed Australian pricing for the updated Model Year 2026 (MY26) Polestar 2, with the line-up starting from $62,400* – unchanged from the previous model year.
For fleets and novated lease buyers, the Polestar 2 continues to offer a compelling mix of performance, technology and low running costs, while receiving a series of thoughtful upgrades that add even more value.
What’s New for MY26
The most significant technical update is the addition of a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor chip across the range, delivering:
- Faster infotainment responsiveness
- Quicker app download speeds
- Improved in-car system performance
The Standard range Single motor variant now comes with a new 70kWh CATL battery, improving range to 554km (WLTP) (up from 546km) and boosting DC fast charging capability to 180kW. That means a 10–80% top-up takes just 26 minutes, making it more practical for drivers covering longer distances.
Other highlights include:
- New exterior colour: Dune metallic, replacing Jupiter
- Updated 20-inch forged Performance wheels (lighter and stronger)
- Optional Bowers & Wilkins 14-speaker audio system (1,350W)
- Rear window tinting added to side windows as standard
- Fresh interior option: bio-attributed MicroTech upholstery with Black Ash trim

Why It Matters for Fleets
For fleet operators and novated buyers, the unchanged pricing is good news against a backdrop of rising vehicle costs. The upgraded battery and charging specs enhance practicality, reducing downtime for drivers who rely on public charging. Meanwhile, the strong aftersales package – five-year warranty, roadside assist and scheduled servicing – keeps total cost of ownership predictable.
With Polestar committed to sustainable manufacturing and aiming for climate-neutral production by 2040, the Polestar 2 MY26 positions itself not only as a sleek and high-tech EV, but also as a smart long-term choice for businesses and employees looking to reduce emissions.
