Polestar has revised its Polestar 4 electric SUV coupé range for 2027, with chassis changes, a simpler model structure and a lower reported production carbon footprint.
The updated Polestar 4 is now available to order in Australia in Rear motor, Dual motor and Dual motor with Performance pack forms.
The main engineering changes focus on ride and handling. Rear motor and Dual motor variants receive recalibrated chassis settings, including revised springs, anti-roll bars and passive dampers.
Polestar has also replaced internal rebound coil springs with polyurethane rebound stops and revised the steering calibration.
The company says the changes are designed to improve ride control, comfort and steering precision in everyday driving.
The Dual motor remains the quickest version in the range, with all-wheel drive and a claimed 0-100km/h time of 3.8 seconds.
Polestar has also reported a reduction in the Polestar 4’s cradle-to-gate carbon footprint, which covers emissions associated with materials and vehicle production before delivery.
For Australian-delivered vehicles, the Rear motor is quoted at 19.4 tonnes of CO₂-equivalent, while the Dual motor is rated at 20.3 tonnes.
Polestar says the Dual motor’s reported footprint has reduced by 1.1 tonnes of CO₂-equivalent since the model launched.
For 2027, the model range has been simplified into three clear variants. Buyers can still choose from a range of comfort, technology and performance upgrades, while 22kW AC charging is now available as a standalone option.
The updated range also includes equipment options such as an electrochromic glass roof, privacy glass, body-coloured lower cladding and an electric retractable towbar.
