Skoda has confirmed the arrival of its first all-electric SUV designed for the compact segment — the Elroq — expanding the choices for fleet operators and novated lease buyers looking to transition to zero-emission vehicles.
The Elroq will sit beneath the Enyaq in the brand’s lineup, offering a more compact footprint and a fresh evolution of Skoda’s design language called “Modern Solid”, which combines robust SUV styling with a minimalist interior aesthetic. With dimensions close to the popular Karoq, the Elroq is well positioned as a practical, everyday fleet option with electric benefits.
The global reveal is slated for later this year, with Australian timing yet to be confirmed, but likely from late 2025 or early 2026. Skoda has indicated the Elroq will be the first of six new electric models due by the end of 2026 — demonstrating a firm commitment to electrification.
For fleet buyers, the Elroq offers an appealing mix of SUV practicality, brand reliability, and the lower running costs associated with EVs. For novated lease customers, the sleek new design and advanced features promise a stylish upgrade with potential tax and fuel savings.
Range and specifications haven’t been finalised, but the vehicle is expected to share similar underpinnings with other VW Group models based on the MEB platform, which could see multiple battery and drivetrain options available to suit varied fleet needs.
The arrival of the Elroq broadens the options available for organisations building an EV transition roadmap and gives novated buyers another compelling SUV to consider in the expanding electric vehicle market.
Fleet Managers looking to reduce whole-of-life costs while meeting ESG targets will want to keep the Skoda Elroq on their radar as more details emerge later this year.
