Fleet Managers visiting All Energy 2025 this week will have the chance to see firsthand how Nayax is simplifying electric vehicle (EV) charging with a solution that could finally eliminate the frustration of juggling multiple apps across different charging networks.
Founded in 2005, Nayax began as a cashless payment and IoT service provider for unattended retail, and has since grown into a global payment and merchant account powerhouse. Today, the company operates in more than 100 countries, providing advanced payment systems that are transforming the EV charging experience for both operators and fleets.
At All Energy 2025, Nayax is showcasing its payment terminals and integrated charge point management systems (CPMS), developed specifically for EV charging. According to Dylan Winik, CEO at Nayax Australia, this combination offers flexibility, transparency, and control for both operators and fleet customers.
“We’re providing the payment terminal with firmware built specifically for EV charging,” Winik explained. “Fleet Managers don’t need to rely on multiple apps or complex integrations. Our system allows them to see all charging transactions in one place, whether it’s across their own network or third-party providers.”
A Single Solution for a Fragmented Market
The challenge of EV charging fragmentation is well known among Fleet Managers. Drivers often need to maintain several apps and accounts to access different charging networks, complicating expense management and reimbursement processes.
Nayax’s solution directly addresses this issue by offering tap-and-go payment terminals that integrate with major global CPMS platforms. Fleet drivers can simply plug in, tap their card or company-issued prepaid card, and charge — no apps, no logins.
For operators, Nayax’s technology can be fitted to existing chargers without compromising waterproof ratings or functionality. The terminals connect to the cloud via OCPI, enabling seamless communication between chargers and back-end systems.
“When we retrofit a charger, it’s literally plug and play,” Winik said. “Whether it’s a Tritium, ABB, or another brand, our system connects through the cloud — no need for physical rewiring.”
Centralised Control for Fleet Managers
One of the most compelling aspects for fleet operations is centralised reporting and expenditure control. Nayax offers a complete back-end solution that allows businesses to track charging usage by driver, vehicle, or site, manage limits, and control costs.
“Fleet providers can issue prepaid cards and set weekly limits, monitor consumption, and identify misuse,” Winik noted. “It’s a full end-to-end payment and reporting solution — from the tap at the charger to the finance team’s reconciliation.”
This unified approach means fleet administrators can finally consolidate EV charging expenses across multiple networks and integrate them into their existing financial systems.
Supporting Choice and Accessibility
Winik emphasised that Nayax’s goal isn’t to replace apps entirely, but to provide drivers with choice. For many drivers — particularly those less comfortable with technology — the ability to pay by card rather than navigate an app can be a deciding factor in EV adoption.
“The idea is to offer choice,” he said. “Apps are great for those who want loyalty benefits, but some drivers just want to tap and charge. By offering both options, we’re helping to make EVs accessible to everyone.”
Expanding Partnerships in Australia
Nayax is already working with some of Australia’s largest EV charging networks, including Exploren, Chargefox, and NRMA. Its technology is also being trialled with EVX to meet new funding requirements mandating the inclusion of card payment systems on chargers.
Globally, Nayax devices are installed on 70% of fast-charging networks in the United States and are a dominant presence across Europe. With over 1,200 employees and 500 in-house developers, the company is continually evolving its EV solutions, developing new features rapidly in response to customer needs.
Visit Nayax at All Energy 2025
Fleet Managers attending All Energy 2025 in Melbourne can visit Nayax to see the EV Kiosk — a centralised outdoor payment station that supports multiple chargers from one location. The kiosk allows users to select their charger, make a payment, and even stop the charge session, with digital receipts customised for fleet or corporate use.
Nayax’s participation at All Energy 2025 represents a major opportunity for fleets to modernise their charging infrastructure and streamline EV payment management. For those seeking to improve control, compliance, and convenience in their transition to electric, Nayax delivers a truly unified charging payment experience — one that mirrors the simplicity of refuelling at a petrol station.
