Roev has announced the appointment of Marty Andrews, co-founder and former CEO of Chargefox, as Advisor and Head of Strategy. The move strengthens Roev’s position as a leader in fleet electrification and energy management solutions at a time when commercial operators are accelerating their shift to low-emission transport.
Andrews is best known for building Australia’s largest open EV charging network through Chargefox, which now spans more than 2,000 public plugs and is expected to grow to 5,000 by the end of 2025. His experience in enabling long-distance EV travel and forging partnerships across government and industry will be central to Roev’s mission of reshaping how fleets fuel, operate, and decarbonise.
“I’ve spent the last decade helping Australia prepare for an EV future — now I want to help accelerate it,” said Andrews. “Roev’s vision goes well beyond the EV transition. They’re reimagining the way fleets interact with energy — and that’s what excites me. Their platform doesn’t just support electrification; it enables smarter decisions, lower emissions, and meaningful cost savings for businesses. That’s the kind of impact I want to be part of.”
For Fleet Managers, Roev’s platform provides a single source of truth to plan and optimise the transition from internal combustion engine (ICE) to electric vehicles (EVs). It integrates energy usage, fleet performance data, and operational costs, helping businesses reduce emissions while controlling total cost of ownership.
Robert Dietz, CEO of Roev, said Andrews’ appointment comes at a pivotal moment. “Marty’s depth of experience, from building national charging infrastructure to working with government and industry to unlock cleaner transport solutions, makes him an ideal partner for Roev’s next chapter. We’re beyond excited to have his strategic insight as we help fleets transition faster, smarter, and more sustainably.”
The company’s software and energy orchestration tools already support mixed fleets, giving organisations the ability to model and manage ICE and EV assets side by side. This capability is critical for Finance Managers planning long-term budgets, and for Sustainability Managers tasked with reducing transport emissions without disrupting business operations.
Beyond his work with Chargefox, Andrews is a serial entrepreneur who founded digital consultancy Cogent and has invested in high-growth startups through Cogent Ventures. His reputation for purpose-driven innovation is expected to help Roev expand its influence across Australia’s fleet and energy ecosystems.
With fleets under increasing pressure to meet emission targets and manage rising fuel costs, Roev’s combination of fleet intelligence and energy optimisation is positioned as a practical solution for businesses preparing for the next stage of transport decarbonisation.
