Zeekr Australia has delivered its 5,000th Zeekr 7X, less than eight months after the premium electric SUV entered local showrooms.
Customer deliveries of the 7X began in October 2025, with Zeekr saying the model has now exceeded 1,000 deliveries per month in recent months as demand builds in the competitive mid-size electric SUV market.
The milestone puts the 7X among the fastest-moving new premium EV entrants in Australia, giving Zeekr a strong early foothold against established European brands and other EV-focused manufacturers.
The 5,000th vehicle was a Zeekr 7X Black Special Edition. The model features an all-black exterior design package and premium interior finishes, while retaining the performance and technology features of the flagship all-wheel-drive variant.
Retail network continues to grow
The delivery milestone comes as Zeekr continues to build its Australian retail footprint.
The brand now has 18 locations nationally, with another two showrooms expected to open in coming months. That would take its network to 20 locations across Australia, improving access for customers in key metropolitan markets.
Zeekr Australia Managing Director Frank Li said the result showed growing confidence in the new brand.
“Reaching 5,000 deliveries in such a short period is a significant milestone for Zeekr in Australia,” Li said.
“It reflects not only the strength of the 7X as a product, but also the growing confidence Australian customers have in a new premium EV brand that delivers on performance, innovation and overall ownership experience.”
Awards add to early momentum
The 7X has recently collected a number of industry accolades, including Best EV Mid-Size SUV at the 2026 CarExpert Choice Awards.
It has also received Drive’s Best Medium SUV Under $60K, CarsGuide’s Best Medium SUV Under $60K award, and Gold for the Zeekr 7X Long Range in Money magazine’s Best of the Best Awards.
Zeekr has positioned the 7X around premium design, long-range capability, technology and performance, while targeting buyers looking for an alternative to more established electric SUVs.
Li said the company expects momentum to continue through the second half of 2026 as it expands its retail network and introduces more products.
“With sustained demand, expanding retail coverage and a strong product pipeline, we expect to continue scaling deliveries and further establishing Zeekr as a leading player in Australia’s premium EV market,” he said.
