Volkswagen has officially completed its “simply better” electric SUV line-up, with the full range of ID.4 and ID.5 models now available in Australia. For fleet buyers and novated lease customers, this marks an important milestone – offering more choice, sharper pricing, and practical ownership benefits.
Four Models, One Line-Up
Customers can now choose from four fully electric medium SUVs:
- ID.4 Pro – $59,990*
- ID.4 GTX – $69,990*
- ID.5 Pro – $62,990*
- ID.5 GTX – $72,990*
With power outputs ranging from 210kW to 250kW and WLTP ranges up to 544km, the line-up balances efficiency, performance, and design. The GTX models add dual-motor all-wheel drive, sport styling, and premium Harman Kardon audio.
Fleet-Friendly Features
For fleets looking at total cost of ownership, Volkswagen has bundled significant value into every model:
- Free 7kW home charger with installation (valued at $1,899**)
- 8-year/160,000 km battery warranty and free battery health checks
- All charging cables included (saving almost $1,000)
- Travel Assist driver aids (adaptive cruise, lane keeping, side assist, emergency assist) standard across the range
Inside, both Pro and GTX variants come with a panoramic glass roof, heated steering wheel, tri-zone climate control, power-adjustable front seats with massage, and a 12.9-inch infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The Right EV at the Right Time
Volkswagen Passenger Vehicles Head of Product, Arjun Nidigallu, says the strong demand is proof of the market’s appetite for the right EV product mix.
“The ID.4 and ID.5 are showing that BEV demand is strong when you have the right line-up, the right price, and the confidence of a brand people trust,” he said.
For fleets balancing NVES compliance, driver safety, and sustainability targets, the ID.4 and ID.5 provide a compelling alternative to traditional medium SUVs. And for novated lease customers, the inclusion of a charger and strong warranty makes the ownership proposition even more attractive.
