LDV Australia has unveiled its latest innovation, the eTerron9 electric 4WD ute, marking its first appearance in Australia at the 2024 Mobility Live show in Melbourne on October 30. The eTerron9 made an impressive debut, arriving just days before the event, creating a buzz among fleet managers and industry experts alike. This launch signals a significant step forward in the electric ute segment, where genuine 4×4 options have been limited.
Equipped with a 325kW dual motor powertrain and a substantial 102kWh battery, the eTerron9 offers a powerful performance, featuring a towing capacity of 3.5 tonnes and an estimated range of 430km (WLTC). LDV’s latest model also incorporates DC fast charging capabilities, allowing the battery to charge from 20% to 80% in just 43 minutes. Designed with fleet and commercial applications in mind, the eTerron9 includes Vehicle-to-Load technology, providing additional utility for tools and equipment on-site.
LDV’s focus on safety is apparent in the eTerron9’s full ADAS suite, including adaptive cruise control and a 360-degree camera, enhancing both security and convenience. Another standout feature is the front storage compartment—the first of its kind in LDV’s lineup—offering 236 liters of lockable storage space.
With its robust capabilities, this ute is poised to be a compelling option for fleets aiming to transition to electric vehicles without compromising on power or utility. As fleets explore sustainable options, the LDV eTerron9 could be the first practical 4×4 electric ute ready for the Australian market, aligning with the needs of businesses and governments focused on reducing emissions.
Pricing and specifications to be released closer to the local launch in the first half of 2025.
