Geely Auto, a leading global Chinese automaker, has officially entered the Australian and New Zealand (ANZ) markets with a strategic signing ceremony held in Sydney. This event marks a significant milestone in Geely’s long-term commitment to these regions.
The event, attended by newly appointed dealer principals, senior executives, and those in advanced negotiations, was led by Evin Ye, Deputy General Manager of Geely Auto International Corporation, and Li Lei, Head of Geely Australia. Together, they shared Geely’s vision of becoming a trusted and innovative automotive brand in ANZ.
At the forefront of Geely’s ANZ strategy is the launch of the Geely EX5, a mid-sized electric SUV, scheduled to debut in the first half of 2025. The EX5 exemplifies Geely’s focus on innovation and sustainability. Its entry will be supported by a robust dealer network, with seven groups already committed, including Peter Warren Automotive in New South Wales and GWS Automotive Group in Victoria.
Geely’s plans extend beyond product launches. The company envisions a strong dealership presence across both metropolitan and regional areas by 2025, paired with exceptional after-sales support and collaborative marketing initiatives. Additionally, a strategic partnership with New Zealand’s Giltrap Group underscores Geely’s integrated approach to market penetration in ANZ.
“Our mission is to bring quality and innovation to the Australian and New Zealand markets,” said Evin Ye. “The partnerships we’ve built here are critical to our long-term success and commitment to electrification, intelligence, and connectivity.”
With a global reputation for cutting-edge design and technology, Geely’s entry promises a transformative impact on the local automotive landscape.
