Renault Australia has launched a sharp end-of-financial-year offer on its Megane E-Tech electric hatchback, with drive-away pricing starting from $49,990 after applying savings equivalent to the GST and free on-road costs.
The limited-time offer applies to new vehicles sold and delivered between 1 April and 30 June 2026, while stock lasts. The timing positions the Megane E-Tech as an attractive option for organisations reviewing fleet budgets before June 30, as well as novated lease buyers looking to take advantage of tax-time decisions.
Renault Australia General Manager Glen Sealey said the promotion is designed to make electric vehicles more accessible at a time when fuel costs remain a major concern for households and businesses.
“We are doing our bit to help motorists make the switch to electric cars during the current fuel crisis,” said Sealey.
“This limited-time drive-way offer in the lead-up to tax time – which amounts to savings equivalent to the GST plus free on-road costs – will help people get into a European electric car at an attainable price point.”
Practical EV credentials for daily operations
The Megane E-Tech is powered by a 60kWh battery pack delivering a claimed WLTP driving range of 454km, which places it comfortably within the range expectations for urban and regional passenger fleet duties. Renault also claims a 0–100km/h acceleration time of 7.4 seconds, providing responsive performance for everyday driving conditions.
For fleet operators and salary packaging customers, the vehicle’s service intervals of 12 months or 30,000km are likely to support predictable maintenance planning and minimise downtime. The battery is backed by an eight-year or 160,000km warranty, with a guarantee of at least 70 per cent capacity, while the vehicle itself is covered by a five-year or 100,000km warranty and five years of roadside assistance.
Familiar cabin layout supports driver acceptance
Inside the cabin, the Megane E-Tech combines digital displays with traditional controls, featuring a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster alongside a large infotainment screen. Importantly, Renault has retained physical buttons and dials for key functions, which can support driver acceptance and reduce distraction compared with fully touchscreen-based systems.
The vehicle is fitted with 20-inch alloy wheels and offers four driving modes, ranging from Eco to Sport, along with four levels of regenerative braking. These features allow drivers to tailor vehicle performance and energy recovery depending on driving conditions and duty cycles.
Pricing details
The headline $49,990 drive-away price applies to vehicles finished in solid white paint with a black roof. Metallic paint adds $400, while alternative two-tone paint combinations cost $800.
For Fleet Managers assessing whole-of-life costs or organisations considering EV adoption in passenger vehicle segments, the EOFY offer provides a clearer entry point into a European-built electric vehicle with competitive specifications and predictable ownership support.
