Geely will use Everything Electric Sydney this month to give Australian buyers an early look at several vehicles joining its expanding local model range, including two new SUVs that have yet to be revealed.
The Chinese carmaker will display its existing Geely EX5, EX2 and Starray EM-i alongside the Emgrand L EM-i plug-in hybrid sedan at the Sydney Showground event, which runs from 18–20 September.
The two additional SUV models will be unveiled on the opening day of Everything Electric on Friday, 18 September, ahead of their planned addition to Geely’s Australian lineup during 2027.
While Geely has not provided details of the two SUVs ahead of their unveiling, their appearance will give Australian consumers and fleet buyers an indication of how quickly the brand intends to broaden its product offering.
Emgrand L EM-i confirmed for Australia
The show will also provide another opportunity to see the Geely Emgrand L EM-i, which is scheduled to join the Australian range in the first half of 2027.
The plug-in hybrid sedan was first shown locally at the Melbourne Motor Show in April. Geely says the decision to add it to the Australian lineup followed positive feedback from visitors at the Melbourne event.
Its arrival will further broaden Geely’s electrified offering beyond SUVs and hatchbacks, potentially giving buyers looking for a conventional sedan body style another plug-in hybrid option.
Geely entered the Australian market in 2025 with the EX5 and Starray EM-i before expanding its range in August 2026 with the EX2, the brand’s first electric hatchback in Australia.
The company says it has since passed 20,000 Australian vehicle deliveries.
Geely Auto Australia Product Planning and Marketing Director Andrew Tuitahi said the company was deliberately using Everything Electric to expose its upcoming vehicles to a broader audience.
“It is a great time to be a new car buyer, and the Australian market’s interest towards our brand’s cars has been very promising,” Tuitahi said.
“These new cars are being intentionally presented at Everything Electric to diversify our audience offering.”
More choice for electrified fleets
For fleet buyers, Geely’s growing Australian portfolio is another sign of the increasing number of brands competing across battery-electric and plug-in hybrid segments.
The addition of an electric hatchback in the EX2, plug-in hybrid models and further SUVs gives organisations evaluating lower-emission vehicles a wider range of body styles to consider as they work through different operational requirements.
