DENZA has formally revealed Australian pricing for its first models, the DENZA B5 and DENZA B8 Super Hybrid SUVs, marking the brand’s official entry into the local market with a clear focus on premium positioning, advanced technology and long-range electrified driving.
The pricing announcement was made at the opening of DENZA’s first Australian location at Rushcutters Bay in Sydney, ahead of a national roadshow introducing the brand to dealerships and customers across the country.
Pricing positions DENZA firmly in premium territory
Australian pricing (excluding on-road costs) has been confirmed as:
- DENZA B5 – $74,990
- DENZA B5 Leopard – $79,990
- DENZA B8 7-seat (7S) – $91,000
- DENZA B8 6-seat (6S) – $97,990
For fleet and novated lease buyers, the pricing places DENZA squarely in the premium large SUV segment, while undercutting many established luxury competitors when specification and electrified capability are considered.
Super Hybrid platform designed for everyday EV use
Both the B5 and B8 are built on BYD’s DM-O (Dual Mode Offroad) super-hybrid platform, allowing drivers to operate primarily in EV mode for daily commuting, while retaining the flexibility of plug-in hybrid operation for longer trips.
DENZA says the system delivers a combined driving range of close to 1,000km, addressing one of the key barriers still raised by fleet decision-makers considering electrified SUVs for regional, touring or mixed-use roles.
Dual-motor all-wheel drive is standard across the range, paired with BYD’s Blade Battery technology. An available DiSus-P hydraulic suspension system is offered to improve ride comfort and vehicle control, particularly for off-road or variable load conditions.
B5 vs B8: different use cases for fleets
From a fleet perspective, the two models target distinct applications:
- B5: Positioned as a premium five-seat SUV with an adventure-oriented design, suitable for executives, regional managers or organisations requiring capability beyond sealed roads.
- B8: Offered in both six- and seven-seat configurations, the B8 is clearly aimed at larger families, executive transport and organisations needing space, flexibility and a strong on-road presence.
Both models blend luxury finishes with electrified drivetrains, aligning with the growing expectation that fleet vehicles must now deliver sustainability outcomes without sacrificing driver appeal.
Early demand and customer incentives
DENZA has reported strong early interest ahead of order books opening, with almost 5,000 expressions of interest recorded nationally at the time of the pricing announcement.
As an early-adopter incentive, the first 2,000 B5 customers will receive a complimentary premium paint upgrade and interior trim enhancement, valued at approximately $1,818.
A new premium brand enters the fleet conversation
DENZA Australia COO Mark Harland said the brand is aiming to offer “a gateway to automotive luxury at price points which are unrivalled in the segment,” while highlighting the ability for customers to operate the vehicles almost exclusively as EVs in urban use, with long-distance flexibility retained through the Super Hybrid system.
For fleet and novated lease buyers, the arrival of DENZA adds another serious contender to the premium electrified SUV category—one that combines long range, advanced technology and strong value positioning at launch.
