Australia’s growing electric vehicle and charging industry is being encouraged to step into the spotlight as part of the 2026 Fleet News Group Awards.
Fleet News Group is calling on emerging EV suppliers, charging providers, software companies, energy businesses, infrastructure specialists, and new mobility brands to nominate for the fleet Supplier of the Year Award and let the fleet industry decide who is making the biggest impact.
The award has been designed to recognise suppliers that are helping fleets navigate one of the biggest transitions the transport sector has experienced in decades.
Importantly, the process is simple.
For the Fleet Supplier of the Year Award, suppliers only need to submit a nomination before the 30 June deadline. Once the finalists are selected, the broader fleet industry will vote from August to determine the winner.
That means suppliers do not need to prepare complex submissions or lengthy award entries. Instead, the focus shifts to what really matters — how the industry views the supplier and the value they are delivering to fleet customers.
The category is particularly relevant for the emerging EV industry because many suppliers are still building brand awareness, customer trust, and long-term partnerships within the fleet sector.
For newer businesses, the award provides an opportunity to gain visibility and credibility among fleet decision-makers across Australia.
The transition to electric vehicles has created an entirely new ecosystem of suppliers supporting fleets with charging infrastructure, software platforms, telematics, energy management, vehicle data, financing solutions, consulting services, driver education, and operational support.
Many of these businesses have spent the past few years helping fleets understand complex technology, develop transition strategies, and overcome operational barriers.
The Fleet Supplier of the Year Award has been designed to recognise those contributions. The award is not about company size or marketing budgets.
Instead, it is about how suppliers are helping fleet operators solve real-world problems and support practical fleet outcomes.
That could include helping fleets reduce charging costs, improve vehicle utilisation, manage energy demand, simplify reporting, reduce downtime, or build confidence around EV adoption.
For emerging EV suppliers, the open voting process also provides a valuable opportunity to demonstrate market support to future customers and industry stakeholders.
Being recognised by fleet operators and industry peers sends a strong signal in a rapidly evolving market where trust and operational capability are critical.
Fleet News Group says the awards are intended to create a more transparent and community-driven recognition program where the industry itself helps determine excellence.
For suppliers working hard to support fleets through the EV transition, the Fleet Supplier of the Year Award offers an opportunity to be recognised by the very customers and industry professionals they are helping every day.
Nominations for the 2026 Fleet News Group Awards close on 30 June, with voting starting in August.
