Mini Australia has announced it will introduce the all-electric Aceman range in Q4 this year, consisting of the base E and performance SE models.
The Aceman is the first model within the MINI product line-up to offer exclusively electric drive options, boasting an efficient electric motor that ensures fun in both urban areas and journeys beyond city limits.
Mini’s entry-level Aceman E features a 38.5kWh net battery capacity and range of up to 310km, with outputs of 135kW/290Nm, allowing it to sprint to 100km/h in a respectable 7.9 seconds.
Stepping up into the Aceman SE, it features a larger 49.2kWh battery allowing a range of up to 406km. The SE model produces an increased 160kW/330Nm and will hit 100km/h in 7.1 seconds.
Both MINI Aceman E and SE models come equipped with DC fast charging capabilities, with the E rated for up to 75kW and the SE capable of receiving 95kW, taking them from 10 to 80% charge in around half an hour.
“The MINI Aceman delivers a fresh and innovative take on the iconic MINI design while representing the next generation of MINI – one that is built for the future while staying true to the brand’s heritage of go-kart driving fun and individuality,” MINI Australia and New Zealand General Manager, Alexander Brockhoff said.
“The Aceman provides our customers with a greater choice of electrified, premium compact vehicles that are perfect for urban living and beyond.
“Its introduction is a testament to our unwavering commitment in electrifying the brand and our vision of a sustainable future.”
