Subaru Australia has revised pricing for its MY26 Solterra and Trailseeker electric SUVs, sharpening the value equation for buyers looking at all-wheel drive EVs.
The updated Manufacturer’s List Prices came into effect on Thursday 14 May 2026 and apply across all variants in the MY26 Solterra and Trailseeker ranges. Subaru says the move reflects its commitment to keeping vehicles competitively priced while maintaining the quality, performance and technology expected by customers.
For fleet and novated lease buyers, the change makes Subaru’s electric SUV range more competitive at a time when whole-of-life cost, emissions reporting and FBT treatment are playing a larger role in vehicle selection.
The Solterra AWD has been reduced by $2,000, moving from $63,990 to $61,990. The Solterra AWD Touring has also dropped by $2,000, with revised pricing of $67,990.
The bigger price movement is on the Trailseeker. The AWD variant has been reduced by $4,000, moving from $67,990 to $63,990, while the AWD Touring has also been cut by $4,000 to $69,990.
| Model | Variant | Previous MLP | Revised MLP | Reduction |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Subaru Solterra | AWD | $63,990 | $61,990 | $2,000 |
| Subaru Solterra | AWD Touring | $69,990 | $67,990 | $2,000 |
| Subaru Trailseeker | AWD | $67,990 | $63,990 | $4,000 |
| Subaru Trailseeker | AWD Touring | $73,990 | $69,990 | $4,000 |
The revised pricing arrives as competition in the electric SUV market continues to intensify. For Subaru, the challenge is not only winning over traditional brand loyalists, but also attracting new buyers who may be comparing EVs on monthly lease cost, range, safety, capability and resale expectations.
Subaru’s all-wheel drive heritage gives the Solterra and Trailseeker a useful positioning point for buyers who want an EV but still value traction, confidence and light adventure capability. That could appeal to private buyers using novated leasing, as well as organisations looking for lower-emission vehicles that still suit regional travel or mixed driving conditions.
The Trailseeker price cut is particularly notable because it narrows the gap between Subaru’s larger electric SUV and other EV options competing for family, lifestyle and fleet buyers. A $4,000 reduction can make a meaningful difference in lease calculations, especially when combined with lower running costs and potential tax advantages for eligible electric vehicles.
Subaru has advised customers who have recently placed orders, or are currently completing a purchase, to contact their Subaru Retailer to understand how the revised pricing may apply.
The prices listed are Manufacturer’s List Prices only. They include GST but exclude dealer delivery charges and government or statutory charges, so buyers will need to contact a Subaru dealer for drive-away pricing.
