CUPRA has confirmed Australian pricing and specification for its newest plug-in hybrid SUV, the Terramar VZe, which arrives in November with a sharp mix of performance, efficiency, and luxury features.
Priced from $77,990 RRP, the Terramar VZe slots in as the flagship of the medium SUV range, positioned as a stylish, dynamics-led alternative to traditional premium brands.
Power and Efficiency Combined
Under the bonnet, the VZe combines a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine with an electric motor, producing 200kW and 400Nm. Power is channelled through a six-speed DSG transmission with paddle shifters, delivering a 0–100km/h time of 7.3 seconds.
A 20kWh battery enables up to 110km of WLTP-certified electric-only driving, while the dual charging capability – 11kW AC and 50kW DC – offers flexibility for both home and public charging. Fuel consumption is rated as low as 0.5L/100km, making it an appealing option for drivers balancing weekday commutes with weekend getaways.
Premium Features as Standard
The VZe’s equipment list reads like a luxury SUV, with 20-inch black and copper alloy wheels, Dynamic Chassis Control Pro, and multiple driving modes (Comfort, Performance, CUPRA, Individual).
Inside, owners are treated to Deep Burgundy leather-appointed sport bucket seats with heating and memory, a 12-speaker Sennheiser sound system, 12.9-inch infotainment screen with navigation, wireless phone integration, and a head-up display. Safety is equally comprehensive, with Travel Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Assist, Emergency Assist, and a 360-degree camera all standard.
Options and Colours
Customers can choose from a palette including Glacial White, Midnight Black, Cosmos Blue, Fiord Blue and Timanfaya Grey, with premium finishes such as Century Bronze matte ($2,900) and Dark Void metallic ($620). A panoramic sunroof is also optional at $2,000.

CUPRA’s Expanding Line-up
The Terramar VZe joins a fast-growing local CUPRA range, which now includes the Tavascan EV, the Terramar S mild-hybrid, and the petrol-powered V and VZ models. It complements CUPRA’s strategy of offering sporty, electrified vehicles that appeal to drivers who value both engagement and efficiency.
Jeff Shafer, Head of Product at CUPRA, summed it up:
“The CUPRA Terramar VZe proves that medium SUVs can be both engaging and efficient, stylish and spacious.”
With its blend of performance, electric capability, and premium features, the VZe shapes up as one of the most compelling new arrivals in Australia’s medium SUV market.
- Pilot phase ends: electric trucks move into mainstream fleet use
Electric trucks are shifting from small-scale pilots to more meaningful, real-world deployment, as fleets begin to test the technology under operational pressure rather than controlled conditions. Polestar says it has reduced greenhouse gas emissions per sold vehicle by 31% since 2020, while simultaneously growing annual sales to more than 60,000 vehicles and expanding operations across 28 global markets. The results were published in the company’s 2025 Sustainability Report and position the Swedish EV brand as one of the few manufacturers publicly - Heavy vehicle electrification starts at the depot
When three of Australia’s largest truck operators began the transition to electric heavy vehicles, they quickly faced a challenge that could not be solved by the vehicle manufacturers alone. For Bunnings, BevChain and Coles, the question was not simply whether electric trucks could perform the task. It was whether the right charging infrastructure could be - Electric Trucks Deliver 80% Fuel Savings and Faster Trips on Key Freight Routes
The economics of long-haul road transport are being challenged by a new set of numbers that are difficult for fleet operators to ignore. The City of Parramatta has demonstrated that reducing fleet emissions does not have to come at the expense of financial discipline or operational reliability. Through a structured Fleet Emissions Reduction Program, the council has taken a whole-of-system approach to fleet electrification—combining governance reform, data-driven decision-making and renewable energy infrastructure to create a practical pathway to
